The 18th Annual Salute the Stars luncheon on May 6, 2016 at Sports Authority Field was a celebration filled with inspiration from some young athletes to another.
Four-time Olympic gold medalist Missy Franklin spoke at this year’s event at Sports Authority Field. She told students she was proud of them and to be the best that they can be. She shared memories of victory and defeat, and encouraged students to work hard to achieve their dreams.
Every year, the John Lynch Foundation recognizes student-athletes, including those with special needs from around Colorado for their achievements in academics, athletics and community involvement.
Over the past 18 years, the Foundation has awarded $825,000 in scholarships to several outstanding students.
“We are proud to support these student-athletes,” said Reiman Foundation Chairman Scott Reiman. “They inspire us through their leadership and dedication.”
The Reiman Foundation has been a longtime supporter of Salute the Stars and continues to sponsor the event every year in effort to help students succeed.
