From art gallerist to one of the most iconic fashion couturiers, Christian Dior has made his way from Paris to Denver.
Dior: From Paris to the World is now on display at the Denver Art Museum until March 17, 2019. The stunning exhibit looks at Dior’s legacy and global influence in fashion and culture over the past 70 years.
The chronological presentation highlights the fashion house’s beginnings, introducing its founder, Christian Dior, and his transition from the art world to the fashion industry.
More than 200 couture dresses, along with accessories, costume jewelry, photographs, drawings, runway videos and more, showcases the creative genius of the fashion house’s first couturier and the creative directors who succeeded him into the 21st century.
After its highly anticipated stretch at the Denver Art Museum, the exhibit will travel to the Dallas Museum of Art.
Scott Reiman and the Reiman Foundation support the Denver Art Museum and the array of exhibits, like Dior, that the museum offers each season, making it one of the nation’s most profound cultural institutions.
